Privacy Policy

The American Institute for Conservation of Historic & Artistic Works (AIC) takes your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to administer your account and to provide the products and services you have requested from us.

AIC and its foundation collect information that is voluntarily given to the two organizations for purposes including membership, donations, education or funding opportunities, event abstract submissions or registrations, or purchases made in our online stores. We also collect information voluntarily provided when registering for a forum supported by AIC and its foundation for discussion on current and future digital platforms; this information is collected specifically to enable usage of those platforms.

We do not share your personal information with organizations other than our contracted partners that provide online services; those partners include our membership database host, website developer, and online community and learning platforms. We do not share your personal information in any other case, and we never sell your information.

Residents of the EU will be asked to opt-in to any and all communications on a regular basis. This option will be made available to all visitors to our sites when registering or reviewing their profiles. You may also ask that your information be deleted entirely from our current database.

The information AIC and its foundation collects includes your name; addresses, email and other contact information as provided; a publicly available image; and transaction history, including membership records and event registrations. Your AIC member profile includes additional voluntary information that is collected to enhance communication with other AIC members and, if desired, the general public for provision of contract services. There are several options to reduce contact, including opting out of mail or phone communications, hiding certain contact information, hiding your profile, and adjusting your email preferences. Any of this can be done with assistance by writing to contact@conservation-us.org.

If you receive a message from anyone purporting to sell a mailing list of members or conservation professionals, please note that they are spammers or frauds. AIC and FAIC will never sell any information held within its databases.
