The Paintings Conservation Catalog is a catalog of conservation treatments for paintings. The intention is to record a variety of treatment procedures in current use or with a history of use. The catalog is designed for practicing paintings conservators and is intended as an aid in the decision-making process. The project is a collective volunteer effort of the Paintings Specialty Group, with members compiling catalog chapters and making long or short contributions to these chapters. The group has published the first three volumes of the Painting Conservation Catalog: "Varnishes and Surface Coatings," "Stretchers and Strainers," and "Inpainting."
