About Bio:

Tatiana Cole is an Associate Conservator of Photographs at The Better Image. She holds a B.S. in Biology from Florida International University (2006), and a M.S. from the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation (2012). Her interests as a graduate student lay in photographs, modern materials, and new approaches to preserving contemporary, installation, and time-based media art. Tatiana spent her summer and third year internships in Photograph Conservation at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Paul Messier LLC, and Harvard University’s Weissman Preservation Center, where she also spent time working with the Audiovisual Preservation Program and the Harvard Film Archive. Her most recent studies have focused on staining and treatment of contemporary platinum prints, and the materials and methods used by platinum master printers over the past 20 years.
