Biographical Information:

Kristen Adsit is the Principal Conservator at Adsit Art Conservation, where she provides museum conservation services for art and artifacts, including sculpture, objects and installations. A Professional Associate of the American Institute for Conservation, she has worked for major museums, public art collections and private clients. As an inter-departmental team member, she helped examine, analyze, document and treat a collection of Northwest Coast totem poles at the American Museum of Natural History, as well as the Design Arts and African Art collections at the Indianapolis Museum of Art to prepare for their installation in newly designed galleries. A graduate of the Conservation Center of the Institute of Fine Arts at New York University, her thesis experimented with using magnets to repair a small steel assemblage by John Chamberlain.
